To date I have variously written for or edited the following tabletop publications, games, expansions and supplements:
Published by Cubicle 7 under license from Games Workshop, Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay keeps the Old World alive and very much kicking.
I am absolutely thrilled to have contributed material to Winds of Magic. A comprehensive guide to the practices and traditions taught by the eight Colleges of Magic, this is a must-have supplement for would-be wizards and successful sorcerers.
Published by Cubicle 7 and based on Charles Stross' The Laundry Files series of novels, The Laundry roleplaying game pits civil servants and secret agents against the many and varied horrors of H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos.
I am proud to have contributed to the following of Cubicle 7's supplements for The Laundry:
My first pieces of work on The Laundry appeared in this book. My contributions were included in sections on the Cthuloid creatures codenamed BLUE HADES, DANUBE CROSSING, DEEP SEVEN, GENOA FRACTAL and PLUTO KOBOLD.
I conceived and wrote studies on the cults known as the Fraternity of Nagalu, the Widows of the Pit, and the Glasshouse Rifles.
This book of scenarios includes my Parisian adventure, A Pocket Full of Priapus.
I have been fortunate enough to cover for regular writer Dom Sore in the April and May 2024 issues of Wargames Illustrated, writing the Release Radar article in both issues.
Published by Footsore Miniatures and Games, Gangs of Rome is a skirmish game pitching gangs against one another in a bid to run the titular city.
My work on this game has been extensive and multifaceted, including editing, concept art, fiction and the creation of online scenarios and web content, including:
My first assignment with Footsore Miniatures and games (or War Banner as the company was then known) was an edit of the rulebook and the game's associated components such as stat and equipment cards.
The creation of the Gangs of Rome website saw me editing the site's blog posts and web content.
As well as the website's copy, I also edited and wrote a swathe of Gangs of Rome fiction, all of which you can find here:
I have written and / or edited all the copy and printed materials found in Gangs of Rome's Blood on the Aventine, Bread and Circuses, Sons of Orcus and Children of Epona box sets. This includes scenarios, inserts, cards and box copy.
I have also written or edited the majority of the Gangs of Rome content available to download from Footsore Miniatures and Games.
Created by Goblin King Games, the wonderful Moonstone skirmish game presents a world of whimsy and fisticuffs. I am delighted to have contributed a number of short stories and poems for the deluxe edition of their Moonstone rulebook. The publishers have kindly allowed me to share one poem with you on my Samples page.
Having been a fan of this fantasy skirmish game since the release of its second expansion, The Battle for Troll Bridge, I was thrilled to be invited to write fiction for its second expansion, Troubles in the North.
The worldbuilding for this skirmish sci-fi tabletop miniatures game is probably one of the most complete and best-conceived pieces of writing I've ever seen. For that reason I feel blessed to have edited the background section of the game's rulebook.
As with The Drowned Earth, I am thrilled to have edited the chapters focusing on the history, races and locations of this distinctive and wholly original RPG.
